Iceland is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. There are many mountains fully covered with snow and ice, plenty of glaciers and water falls, as well as active and inactive volcanos. The country lies on tectonic fault lines which separate the north American and Eurasian tectonic plates. There are geysers spewing out hot water and steam at many places. In fact the country utilises its geothermal resources to generate power and has many power plants of this nature.
